PAW Mombasa

PAW Mombasa is a community-based organization committed to fostering community responsibility towards animal welfare, climate justice, and environmental sustainability, operating under the One Health approach focused on healthy people, animals, and environment. Their programs include educating youth on animal welfare and careers, rescuing and rehabilitating sick or injured street cats, conducting free annual rabies vaccination camps, and implementing trap-neuter-release programs for stray cats and dogs. They also raise awareness through workshops and radio programs, engage in environmental efforts like planting mangroves and urban gardening, run a youth rangers program on conservation and climate justice, and organize beach clean-ups to combat plastic pollution.

PAW Mombasa is a recognized Rabies Center of Excellence.
