Cluny Animal Trust

The Cluny Animal Trust, established in February 2011, is a veterinary welfare organization dedicated to serving the needs of animals owned by impoverished residents in the eastern Free State. Their mission is to end the needless suffering of animals by providing essential veterinary treatment and educating owners on proper animal care and responsible pet ownership.

Cluny Animal Trust operates an independent small animal hospital and a mobile clinic, through which they run various programs:

  • Sterilization: Actively sterilizing as many animals as possible to prevent unwanted litters and control animal populations.
  • Vaccination Campaigns: Running ongoing campaigns to prevent the spread of diseases like Rabies.
  • Spaying & Neutering: Specifically focusing on spaying and neutering animals to control birthrates.
  • Preventive Treatments: Providing regular treatments such as deworming, dipping, and tick and flea control for dogs and cats.
  • Adoptions: Facilitating the adoption of animals to new homes.
  • Operations and Procedures: Offering much-needed surgical operations and medical procedures.
  • Responsible Pet Ownership Education: Educating people on the importance and practices of responsible pet ownership.
