SAFE Foster Network is a non-profit organization dedicated to “taking responsibility for change” in animal welfare within KwaZulu-Natal (KZN) in South Africa. Founded by a passionate group committed to positive impact, SAFE addresses the overwhelming issue of abandoned, abused, and unwanted puppies and dogs in the region.
The organization was established to tackle three critical challenges: a lack of sterilization, insufficient education on responsible animal ownership, and the impact of poverty and job insecurity on animal welfare. SAFE operates through three core pillars to address these issues and build a brighter future for animals and the community. These pillars include providing mass sterilization and vaccination services, alongside a strong focus on adoption and fostering.
SAFE Foster Network is also recognized as a Rabies Center of Excellence.
