Coco’s Animal Welfare is an organization dedicated to improving the lives of cats and dogs in Playa del Carmen and the Riviera Maya. They provide low-cost spay and neuter services, rescue and rehabilitate animals, and promote responsible pet ownership. By implementing TNVR programs, community outreach, and education, Coco’s aims to reduce the number of unwanted animals and create a more humane environment for both pets and wildlife.
In partnership with the International Fund for Animal Welfare (IFAW), a state-of-the-art clinic was built, stocked, and veterinary protocols established. Additionally, the Cachito Emergency Dog Fund, established by Coco’s supporters, helps finance the rescue and rehabilitation of dogs in distress. By working together, Coco’s Animal Welfare and its partners are making a lasting impact on the lives of animals in the region.
