ARRC (Animal Relief for Rural Communities) is a South African non-profit offering veterinary care, food, and shelter to animals in rural areas, while also educating and supporting local communities. The Dog Project provides monthly outreach for vaccinations and parasite control, a weekly emergency clinic, and follow-up home visits. Their Mohlanatsi Children’s Project offers weekly after-school programs with nutritious meals, teaching wildlife conservation and animal welfare, which has led to children taking greater ownership of their pets’ health. With two veterinarians among its founders, ARRC can provide free and urgent veterinary care for various animals, including dogs, donkeys, and goats, treating a wide range of conditions.
ARRC is recognized a Rabies Center of Excellence.
