Animal Care of Chattogram (ACC) is a Bangladeshi organization that believes animal rights are foundational to human dignity and sustainable societal development. In response to widespread abuse of street animals—such as beating, poisoning, and mutilation—due to a lack of shelters in Chattogram, ACC aims to establish a shelter. This facility would provide abused and injured strays with veterinary treatment, rehabilitation, and adoption services, or return them to their original locations once healthy. ACC also plans to create volunteer groups to educate communities, especially children, on animal welfare and rights, recognizing the link between animal abuse and social harmony. Additionally, the shelter’s certified vets would offer free treatment, vaccinations, and sterilization for stray animals.
